If you want to transfer a domain from one domain registrar to another, you will need a unique authorization code, which may be referred to by different names – an EPP authorization code, an Auth-Info code, a domain password, and so on. All these names refer to one and the same thing – a code that the domain owner receives from the current domain registrar and gives to the new one at the time of the order. Without an authentic code, a domain transfer procedure cannot be started and this is one of the safety mechanisms against unsolicited transfer attempts used with all generic and with most country-specific extensions. For greater security, the code contains numbers and/or special symbols and is case-sensitive, so if you would like to transfer one of your domain names, you have to provide the new domain registrar with the correct code.

EPP Transfer Protection in Hosting

Obtaining the EPP transfer authentication code for any domain name registered through us under a hosting account is astonishingly easy. You will not have to sign in and out of different admin interfaces, since you can manage both your domain names and your hosting account from one location – our custom-developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel. To obtain the transfer code for any domain, you simply need to go to the Registered Domains section and to click the small EPP symbol, which will be located on the right-hand side of each domain name whose extension supports transfers with a code. Our system will email the code to the registrant’s email right away. In case you wish to edit the email, you can do it from the very same section of the Control Panel with just a few mouse clicks.

EPP Transfer Protection in Semi-dedicated Servers

If you have a semi-dedicated server account with us and you have registered a domain that you wish to transfer, you can get the EPP transfer authorization code very easy through the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you’ll manage both your account and your domain names. If you go to the Registered Domains section, you will find an EPP logo on the right side of your domains, as long as their extensions support transfers between registrar companies with such a code. All codes are emailed automatically by our system to the registrant’s email address to make sure that only the owner of the domain name can receive this information. In case the currently entered address isn’t valid any longer, you can edit it with a couple of clicks without having to leave this section of the Control Panel. The change is instant, so you will be able to request the EPP code for the specific domain name right away.
